Fire Service
The fire service came to visit our school this week. The children listened attentively to the fire service giving advice about how they protect life and property in the event of fires in their area. They also talked to the children about rescuing and protecting people in the event of a road traffic collision, and. rescuing and protecting people in the event of other emergencies.
The fire service explained to the children how they work closely with the local community to increase their level of fire safety awareness, in order to help prevent fires and accidents happening in the first place.
The children listened attentively to advice on how best to use electrical appliances within their homes.
Finally, the children got to see inside the fire engine and the apparatus/equipment used in the event of an emergency.
